University of Ostrava

Ostrava University is a higher education institution in Ostrava with approximately 10,000 students enrolled each year. It offers education in natural, humanities, social, pedagogical, artistic, and medical sciences through six faculties: the Faculty of Social Studies, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pedagogy, and Faculty of Science. Beyond education, it is engaged in scientific research and artistic activities and actively participates in the social and cultural life of the region. It contributes to transforming Ostrava from an industrial center into a university town.
